This year’s Florida RV SuperShow wasn’t just about big rigs and flashy floorplans. As I walked the show floor, I came across several genuinely new ideas—some big, some subtle—that made me stop and take a closer look. Here are seven new discoveries that really stood out to me.

Load-IQ: Real-Time Insight into RV Weight

What immediately stood out about Load-IQ was its ability to give real-time measurements for GVW and pin weight—two numbers that matter more than almost anything when it comes to towing safely and confidently. Instead of relying on occasional scale tickets, Load-IQ lets you see those values as the rig is actually loaded and being used.

Beyond that, the system measures six individual points across the RV. That level of detail makes it possible to see how weight is distributed, not just what the total numbers are. If something is loaded unevenly, or if changes inside the RV shift weight in ways you didn’t expect, the data makes it visible.

That kind of insight can help owners adjust how and where they load gear, balance weight more intentionally, and avoid unknowingly pushing one area of the rig harder than another. It felt like a practical, real-world tool rather than just another set of numbers on a screen.

Momentum’s New Four-Season Wall

What really stood out about Momentum’s new four-season wall wasn’t just insulation—it was how the rear wall is built around a residential-style sliding glass door. That immediately changes how the space feels, making the rear of the RV feel more like a true living area rather than a traditional toy hauler garage.

Beyond the residential feel, there’s a practical safety benefit as well. Having a solid, lockable sliding glass door at the rear adds an extra layer of security, especially for families with kids sleeping in the back. It creates a clear physical barrier between the exterior and the sleeping area, which is something many traditional rear ramp designs don’t offer.

It’s a good example of how construction choices can improve comfort and security at the same time, without feeling like a compromise.

Worry-Free RV Roof: A New Take on Roof Longevity

The Worry-Free RV Roof rethinks one of the most common long-term maintenance headaches on an RV: roof seams and lap sealant. Instead of multiple sections joined together, this roof is made as one solid piece, eliminating seams where leaks typically start.

Because of that design, there’s no traditional lap sealant to inspect, touch up, or constantly worry about. That alone removes a lot of the ongoing maintenance anxiety that comes with RV ownership, especially for anyone planning to keep their rig long-term.

By reducing seams and sealant, the focus shifts from constant upkeep to durability and peace of mind. It’s a simple change in approach, but one that could make a big difference over years of use.

Omega Fifth Wheel Frame: Strength Where It Matters

The Omega fifth wheel frame stood out because of how intentionally it’s built. Instead of just adding more steel everywhere, the design focuses on reinforcing known stress points—areas that actually take a beating over time.

That targeted approach makes a lot of sense, especially for heavier fifth wheels or rigs that see a lot of miles. By strengthening the areas that matter most, the frame is designed to better handle real-world use rather than just look impressive on a spec sheet.

What really reinforces that confidence is Grand Design’s five-year transferable warranty. That says a lot about how comfortable they are standing behind the design, and it’s a meaningful benefit for owners planning to keep their rig long-term—or even for resale down the road.

Lineage 43: Offroad Super-C Beast!

Seeing the Lineage 43 in person made the off-road intentions of the Lineage platform impossible to miss. The 43-inch tires and LiquidSpring suspension are a clear statement that this chassis is designed to handle far more than smooth pavement.

What really stood out beyond the hardware is that none of that capability comes at the expense of comfort. The Lineage 43 keeps the same luxury appointments that make the Lineage 31ZW feel refined and livable—residential finishes, well-thought-out interior design, and the kind of fit and finish you expect in a high-end Super C.

Putting those luxury features on a true overland-style chassis reinforces what makes the 31ZW so compelling. It’s not just a comfortable coach that can occasionally handle rough roads—it’s a luxury Super C built on a platform designed for off-pavement travel, longer stretches between services, and more adventurous routes.

Brinkley Basements: Storage That Actually Makes Sense

When I stopped by the Brinkley area, what really stood out was what they’re doing with basement storage. One of the first setups I saw was built on a straight frame—something that typically limits how much usable storage you get underneath.

Instead of accepting that limitation, Brinkley added MORryde slide trays under the frame and extended the basement walls downward, almost like a drop-frame effect. The result is significantly more accessible storage than you’d expect from a straight-frame design.

Then I came across what can only be described as a beast of a basement. Between the massive slide-out trays and the additional storage space under the floor, it felt like Brinkley was making a very intentional effort to maximize every inch below the living area.

They even tucked in thoughtful extras, like a small fridge next to the slide trays, which reinforces the idea that this space was designed to be used—not just checked off on a spec sheet.

Slinky Stove: Rethinking RV Campfires

The Slinky Stove is an innovative take on the RV campfire. Its dual-fuel design allows it to run on either wood or propane, making it especially useful at RV parks that only allow propane fire pits. Just as important, its collapsible design means it packs down much smaller than larger options like our Solo Stove, saving valuable storage space.
