It is hard to put into words, how much we enjoyed our time in the Bar Harbor/Acadia area!  We stayed In Trenton at Timberland Acres RV Park, about 25 minutes outside of Mount Desert Island / Bar Harbor.  It was a very well-maintained park with HUGE pull through sites and several amenities (pool, arcade, basketball court, playground and a store with local baked goodies). We chose this location simply because it was less expensive than the parks closer to Bar Harbor!  Next time we visit that area, we hope to stay a little closer to Acadia National Park, hopefully on Mount Desert Island!

The first week of our stay was great! Our friends from Portland, Randy & Sabrina, came up to spend a few days with us and show us around the area.  We ate at several great restaurants and saw an amazing sunset atop Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. The views from the top of this mountain were spectacular and unforgettable!!

The highlight of our first week was most definitely the biplane tour we took from Acadia Air Tours!  We chose the private, 25-minute tour that flew us over Mount Desert Island, Bar Harbor and Acadia. This was an amazing adventure with breathtaking views!

Halfway through our stay, Chad’s daughters came to visit! We flew them up from Tampa and spent 5 days exploring Acadia together. In our upcoming Bar Harbor Pt. 2 video, you will get to see all of our adventures with Meagan and Madison! We had a wonderful time with them and cannot wait to get them back to visit and explore with us out West!
