Mount Mitchell and Blue Ridge Parkway Ride
We continue our adventures in Asheville at Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground, riding to Mount Mitchell on the Blue Ridge Parkway! We think the views on this section are so much better than the section we've ridden previously (between Cherokee and Waynesville, NC).
We also visit Mount Mitchell State Park and take a 300-yard hike up to the summit, where the views are AMAZING!
JuneBug Retro Resort
When researching the area, we came across this amazing little gem about 20 minutes north of Ashville called Junebug Retro Resort. It looked so interesting we asked them if we could come by and check it out. The visit was well worth it as the place was empty (setting up for a wedding), and we could tour all of the vintage RVs!
It was kind of like going to the RV Hall of Fame, except we could go inside all of them!
We definitely want to go back and spend a night or two at this place! And if you're looking for a destination wedding venue, this place is perfect!
