Leaving Pineola, North Carolina, we head west to Nashville, Tennessee, for more adventures!

A Very Challenging RV Site!

Little did we know the first part of our Nashville adventure would be getting parked on our site! Elm Hill RV Resort has a ton of waterfront RV sites that are easy to back in, with the exception of a few sites, including ours!

Site 20's approach (backing in) is uphill, which is not a huge deal. What was a huge deal was the very large wooden deck structure across from the site and the large boulders adjacent to that. These obstacles make it very difficult for a long fifth wheel to get angled into the site. On top of that, it was raining the whole time!

Luckily, the park sent a staff member down to help us get parked. After about three tries, we were finally in!

The Grand Ole Opry House

We had about four days of doing absolutely nothing in Nashville due to Tara's health. But, once that and the rain cleared enough, we headed into town to the Grand Ole Opry House for a backstage tour! We booked the tour online, and it was $20 to park.

The tour was great, and we learned a lot about the Opry and its deep history in the world of country music! We weren't allowed to film any of it, but we got lots and lots of pictures! 😊
