If you've been following our travels, you know our last few videos have shown us out exploring (and camping) in a new Reflection 100 Series, the Reflection 28RL. We had a great time experimenting with living in a smaller RV, and it's time to give a tour and share our impressions.

Grand Design Reflection 28RL

The Grand Design Reflection 28RL, a model from the 100 Series, is designed to be towed by half-ton trucks, aiming to balance features with affordability. Its structure emphasizes practicality for towing without neglecting interior comfort. With an MSRP of around $57,000, it packs a lot of value into an affordable package.

This RV is built to accommodate up to 4 people and is notable for its two slideouts that expand the living and kitchen areas, providing an extensive main living area. It includes standard living amenities such as a full bath, a bedroom with a queen bed, a kitchen island, and a huge 13-foot electric awning that extends outdoor living space. It has features like a high-definition LED TV and an on-demand tankless water heater.

We had mixed feelings about the water heater. While it was great having unlimited hot water when we were on full hookups, it does waste a lot of water to get the hot water started. We made a separate video about the water heater also.

For those interested in extended trips or off-grid camping, it includes a solar package with a roof-mounted panel and a 50 Amp controller, enhancing its self-sufficiency.

Overall, the Reflection 28RL is a great balance between amenities, towing ease, comfort, and utility, with added features for durability and extended use, making it suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities and seasons.
